Robert Davis has been asking the town to waive the moratorium so that his clients, the Briarcliff Manor-based Hudson Ridge Wellness Center could build a 92-bed facility on Quaker Ridge Road, according to multiple media reports.
In December, lohud.com reported that the company sued town officials in federal court for $15 million, claiming that they were purposely discriminating against people with drug and alcohol addictions.
According to The Examiner report, Davis wrote a letter to the town in which he extolled the benefits of the luxury hospital and accused local officials of blatant fear-mongering.
